The French company intends to close the recycling cycle!

A new plant in Longlaville will revolutionize PET recycling, processing 50,000 tons of plastic per year. This is a step towards a cleaner future.

In Longlaville, France, a plant is being built that has the chance to revolutionize the recycling of plastics. A French company is building the world's first biorecycling plant for PET on an industrial scale. Thanks to enzymes, this process will allow the plastic to be completely processed in an energy-efficient way.

The processing capacity will be as much as 50,000 tons per year, equivalent to two billion bottles or 300 million T-shirts! This could be a breakthrough in the fight against the global problem of plastic pollution. 🌿

This company has already received financial support from the French Agency for Ecological Transformation (ADEME) and the State Treasury. The “OPTI-ZYME” project is a huge step forward in the quest to close the recycling cycle. Well-known brands such as Nestlé, Patagonia and L'Oréal are also involved in the project. 💼🤝
