In response to economic progress and sustainable practices, China has seen a significant increase in refrigerator renewals. The initiative of the State Council aims to increase the recycling volume of old household appliances by 30% by 2027 compared to 2023. Tianjin, the leading city in this initiative, is currently experiencing an unprecedented increase in equipment upgrades, especially refrigerators.
Companies like Haier have made strides in greener practices by introducing innovative recycling systems. Haier's Recycling Program in Tianjin enables consumers to determine the value of their old equipment, contributing to the efficient collection of nearly 40,000 recalled electronic devices per month.
Tianjin plans to develop its recycling infrastructure by building more than 1200 recycling points, nearly 100 portable recycling stations, and numerous sorting and redistribution centers by 2025. 🌎 This is an important step towards sustainability. 🌱
