More than 150 exhibitors from 8 countries presented the latest technologies for climate protection in Poznań. An exhibition of industry leaders and a wide programme of accompanying events, including conferences and thematic discussions, summed up the most current issues.
Industry response to changes in waste management
Among the exhibitors, companies whose products are a response to the bail system starting in Poland from January 1, 2025 enjoyed great interest. Disposable plastic bottles up to 3 liters will be covered by the deposit. It is, for example, bottles for water, juice, nectar or milk. The bail system will also cover glass packaging for reusable drinks with a capacity of up to 1.5 liters and metal cans with a capacity of up to 1 liter.
- The ZielonaGospodarka.pl portal is once again the media patron of the Poznań POLECO fair. This year, for the first time, we were among more than 150 exhibitors. This year's event is the industry's response to the growing demands on economy, waste and environmental protection. A lot of interesting exhibitors, a lot of interesting products and innovative technologies. The response of the industry, among others, to the bail system coming into force from 2025 - informs Mateusz Kowalewski, publisher of the portal ZielonaGospodarka.pl
POLECO exhibitors presented interesting and innovative solutions including bail vending machines, also known as recyclates or aggregates. In addition to devices, innovative software and application solutions were presented.
Bail machines Made in Poland
- We came here with a bottle-machine. The bottle counter, as the name suggests, picks up the bottles and issues a deposit for the bottles. From January 2025 we have a revolution. A revolution in terms of waste and waste management in Poland. That is, each bottle sold will have to be equipped, if you can say so, with a deposit fee. And we, returning such a bottle to the point of selective collection, and this point is just behind us, we will receive either a coupon or a refund. And this is exactly the solution we propose. We also have a patented solution when it comes to baler. And it's our product that's definitely standout here. What is important, we are a manufacturer from Poland and here we produce our bottle counters - informs Paweł Kobyliński, representative of RVM Systems.
- We are a Polish company. We create both machines and software for slot machines ourselves. What sets us apart are custom solutions, often in line with our customers' ideas, for example, we integrate with employee cards or city bikes. Our device can stand outside. It is resistant to weather conditions in Poland, frost, rain, but also a lot of sunlight. We can place this device outside the store, without giving up the sales shelf, in a way separating the waste from those products that we want to promote and sell. This is a very big advantage - argues Małgorzata Masłowska from R3 Polska from Szczecin.
Integration of German recyclers with Polish software
- At the Poleco fair, we promote recyclers for the collection of PET bottles, aluminum cans and glass bottles. Together with Sortbox we promote this type of waste collection. On our side, we provide applications for the use of vending machines, which is ready for integration with the bail system - argues Jarosław Kuroś, business development manager at Emka SA.
The POL-ECO Fair was held under the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy, the Ministry of Climate and Environment and the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, as well as under the industry patronage of chambers and associations. Media patronage is held by 20 portals and industry magazines, including Zielonagospodarka.pl
